# Broadcast
## Broadcast lets you create, schedule and track one-off campaigns to large audiences through a guided, step-by-step interface — no code required.
Broadcast lets you create, schedule and track one-off campaigns to large audiences through a guided, step-by-step interface — no code required.
**Any audience**Upload a file, pick contacts or use a Customer Profiles segment.
**Personalised**Placeholders from your file or profile attributes.
**Scheduled**Time zones and delivery windows to avoid off-hours.
**Failover**Automatic fallback to SMS for WhatsApp and other channels.
## Create a WhatsApp broadcast
1. Go to **Broadcast › Create broadcast** and choose **WhatsApp**.
2. Add recipients — from Customer Profiles, an uploaded file, or a previous file.
3. Select your WhatsApp sender and an **approved template**; map placeholders.
4. Set scheduling, delivery window, URL tracking and (optionally) SMS failover.
5. Name and save the draft, review the preview and **launch**.
## File requirements

| Formats | .csv, .xls, .xlsx, .txt or .zip (first file only) |
| Max size | 50 MB |
| Destination | At least one column mapped to phone number (check the country prefix, e.g. 353) |
| Other columns | Available as placeholders for personalisation |
NoteWhatsApp destinations can be a phone number or a business-scoped user ID for people who use a WhatsApp username. Copy-code, one-tap and zero-tap authentication templates still require a phone number.
