# Developer resources for WhatsApp

## Find technical implementation guidance in the Phonovation Developer Portal.

Use this article to decide when your WhatsApp implementation needs developer support. The [Phonovation Developer Portal](https://developers.phonovation.com/phonovation-api/overview) contains the technical documentation for sending messages programmatically, receiving events, authentication, payloads, and integration examples.

The developer portal is also the source for WhatsApp API endpoints, webhook event payloads, delivery and read statuses, reporting integrations, and Marketing Messages API capabilities.

## When to use the developer portal

- Integrating WhatsApp sending or receiving into your application
- Configuring event delivery or webhook handling
