How charges work

MessageHow it is charged
Marketing templatePer delivered message — the highest-priced category.
Utility templatePer delivered message. Utility templates sent inside an open customer service window may be free under Meta's current rules.
Authentication templatePer delivered message; an international rate can apply depending on the recipient's country.
Free-form / service replySent inside the customer service window; see your Phonovation price list for current treatment.
NoteMeta sets the underlying WhatsApp rates and updates them periodically. Phonovation passes these through with our platform fees as set out in your agreement and price list. Your account manager can provide a quote for your expected mix of categories and countries.

Keep costs predictable

  • Keep reminders and confirmations genuinely transactional so they stay in Utility.
  • Encourage customers to reply — conversations inside the window are cheaper to continue.
  • Use Click-to-WhatsApp ads where relevant for a 72-hour free entry window.
  • Segment marketing audiences rather than sending to everyone.
  • Use Reporting to track volumes by category each month.
